Blacklight Featured on BBC Introducing

There are moments in music that remind you why you started creating in the first place. For me, having my track Blacklight featured on BBC Introducing last night is just one of those moments!

As an artist, you spend hours writing lyrics, developing ideas, continuous learning new things in production, refining your own sound, and completely second-guessing yourself. Most of that work happens behind closed doors, with no guarantee that anyone will ever hear the end product. That's why receiving support from BBC Introducing means so much to me.

Since its launch in 2007, BBC Introducing has become one of the UK's most respected platforms for discovering and supporting emerging artists, and even helping launch the careers of artists such as Ed Sheeran. It continues to provide a pathway for independent musicians to reach new audiences through local and national BBC radio networks.

Blacklight was created from a desire to blend emotion and energy into something that feels both personal and powerful.

To have that story picked up and broadcast through BBC Introducing is incredibly rewarding. It's validation not only for the track itself but for the creative process behind it. Independent artists usually work without big teams, labels, or large budgets, so support from respected platforms can make a genuine difference!

I want to thank everyone who has listened, shared, supported, and believed in ‘RBYN’. Whether you've shared this track, attended one of my events, followed from a social post, or simply offered encouragement to me, you've played a part in this journey so far.

There is plenty more music to come, and if Blacklight is any indication of what's ahead, I'm excited for the next chapter!

Thank you to BBC Introducing for the support, and thank you to everyone coming along for the ride.

With love,

RBYN x
